Really enjoyed trying this classic ‘Ottoman Casserole’. Found this recipe very straight forward – although it does require adequate time for the casserole to cook and for the dough to rest & rise. Very easy and utterly delicious, definitley a winter warmer! I doubled the quantities in the recipe and we ate it over 2 days. Only needs to be served with a salad as the bread once cut can be dipped into the stew to eat with it. I used 9 inch round cake tins but you could easily use a normal glass or ceramic casserole dish. The good thing about the cake tin was that it was non stick. You can also make a mini version in small ceramic clay pots – I recently purchased some of these on amazon which I will be using soon, link below. (Vegetarian/vegan friends you know I’ve always got you, you can easily adapt this recipe by simply adding more vegetables [especially aubergine which is very meaty & potato to make it filling] and swapping butter for olive oil or Flora spread).
Çok lezzetli ve كلش طيب !
